Assistant Controller / Account Manager / Manager In Training. 

Requirements:

• Must have 5 years experience in general accounting. 
• Must be proficient in Excel and learn new software applications quickly. 
• 40 plus hour work week. 
• As always, must be personable and energetic. 
• Must be focused, organized, and not a procrastinator! : )  
• Must be excellent at 10 key and typing.  

We handle multiple restaurant clients in multiple States. Most are multi unit operators. Restaurant knowledge is a requirement.  Restaurant operators are reducing in house staff and outsourcing most accounting functions for their enterprise.  

Skills: 

• Work experience as a Controller or similar role 
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and legislation 
• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable functions 
• Experience with cash management and risk assessment 
• Good knowledge of accounting software 
• Attention to detail 
• Ability to work with tight deadlines 
• BSc or MSc in Accounting or Finance CPA or CMA not necessary'

Schedule: 

• 8 hour shift Monday to Friday - no weekends or holidays 

Responsibilities - 

As a Manager in Training/Account Manager/ Assistant Controller, you’ll: 

• Monitor the client’s financial status 
• Review staff data entry 
• File sales taxes 
• Manage AP and vendor statements 
• Manage accounting transactions to produce a clean income statement 

To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with risk management. Ultimately, you’ll make sure we comply with accounting regulations, maximize profits and mitigate risks.
